Flickr Gallery Plugin

 

Brief: this plugin allows you to share your Flickr account photos with your website visitors. It enables you as well to import photos from Flickr to be displayed in the images module. 

Firstly: Flickr Gallery plugin settings: 

1-Log In to the control panel

2-From the setting list, select (Plugins settings) as the below picture: 

3-A list will show up, choose (Flickr Gallery settings) as shown below: 

The below setting options will show up: 

-Enable Flickr Gallery:  activate or deactivate this plugin. 

-Flickr User ID or NS_ID: enter flickr account code, you have to login to your account and the membership code exists at the end of the page link, for example, (www.flickr.com/photos/12341234@N12). The account code is the numbers after the word (photos) 

-Flickr API KEY: press the link in the sign (!) to get the (API KEY). 

-Number of images displayed per page on the List Gallery Photos page: set the number of photos imported from flickr photos (photostream), and displayed on every page of the image section on the website. 

-Number of images displayed in Flickr block: set the number of photos that are imported from the flickr account and displayed in your block. 

-Number of Galleries displayed in Flickr Galleries block: set the number of (galleries) that are shown in one block. 

-Number of Flickr Galleries displayed in a row [Block-Page]: set the number of photos that are shown in every row of the internal pages or the flickr gallery block on the home page. 

-Number of Flickr Photos displayed in a row [Block-Page]: set the number of photos set in every row of flickr photos and the gallery blocks

-Caching Timeout: enter time in minutes after which the photos are updated based on the imported ones from flickr. For example, if you set the time to be 5 minutes, imported photos and galleries are added after each 5 minutes. 

It is not recommended for the caching timeout to be less than 4 minutes, in order to maintain the website hosting. 

Press (Edit Settings) to save. 

 

Secondly: to import photos from Flickr account, follow the below: 

From the control panel> select modules> images> then Flickr images import as shown below: 

The below picture will show up: 

-Sections: choose the section where you want to save the imported images. 

-User: enter the username whom the imported images are attributed to. 

-Flickr User ID or NS_ID: enter the account code. 

-Choose import method from Flickr: photos can be imported from flickr albums or (photostream) which are the published albums that any visitor can view. 

-Title: enter a title of the imported images, noting that if you import several ones, they are all displayed in one slider undernamed this title. 

-Number of contents imported From Flickr: set the number of imported photos, noting that there is no specific number

-Copy Flickr Comments: this option enables you to import the photos comments and display them on the website, noting that the commenters names are not shown for security wise. 

-Display On Homepage: activate or deactivate the imported photos to be shown on the homepage. 

-Status: define the status of the imported photos. 

-Publishing Date: set the publishing date when the imported photos are displayed. 

Press (Submit) to add an event, or (Reset) to re enter new data.

Noting that this plugin has two blocks; (Flickr Gallery and Flickr Photos).
