What is Bare-Metal Restore?

BMR stands for Bare-metal restore which means the full recovery, it’s one of the most important features of DimofinfBS.

The full recovery means the recovery of a full partition with all its contents or the recovery of a full hard-drive with all its partitions.

If there is a fault occurred in the hard disks of the client’s server that led to a hard disk damage and a loss of all data, which means (operating system, software and websites with its files and databases), you can restore the server to what it was at the last time the server has been backed up using BMR. You can also restore only one partition in case there is a fault found in this partition.

Note: If you want to use this feature to make a full recovery of all hard disks and partitions, you first must have kept one backup at least for all hard disks and partitions of the server.
