Meta Description and Meta Keywords

                Meta Description and Meta Keywords are used by search engines to index the site pages in a better way, the difference between them is:

Meta Keywords:

                Are words that indicate the page content, they must be separated by a comma.

Meta Description:

                It is the description of the page that appear under the section name in Google to indicate the page content.

You should differentiate between 4 places

  • Home
  1. Through Dimofinf Settings Meta keywords are added for the whole site.
  2. Through Dimofinf Settings a Meta description is added for the whole site.
  • Modules:
  1. Through Modules Settings Meta keywords are added for the module itself.
  2. Through Modules Settings Meta description is added for the module itself.
  • Module Sections:
  1. Through Add/Edit Section Meta keywords are added for the section itself.
  2. Through Add/Edit Section Meta description is added for the section itself.
  • Contents:
  1. Dimofinf CMS adds Meta keywords hierarchically, starting with the content’s section if there are Meta keywords Dimofinf CMS will add it, if not it will check the content’s module if there are Meta keywords Dimofinf CMS will add it, if not it will check the site’s Meta keywords that were added in Dimofinf Settings.
  2.  Dimofinf CMS automatically adds Meta description hierarchically, starting with the content’s section if there is Meta description Dimofinf CMS will add it, if not it will check the content’s module if there is Meta description Dimofinf CMS will add it, if not it will check the site’s Meta description that was added in Dimofinf Settings.

 

Note:

Search engines does not like sites with so many Meta keywords, so try to concentrate on the unique Meta keywords that fully describe the section, it also does not like the site’s pages that have same repeated Meta keywords.
