RSS Feed Plugin

 

Brief: this plugin allows you to fetch other websites contents by using the RSS feed. 

 

Firstly: Rss Feed plugin settings: 

1-Log In to the control panel

2-From the setting list, select (Plugins settings) as the below picture: 

3-A list will show up, choose (Rss feed settings) as shown below: 

The below setting options will show up: 

Allow periodical RSS feed (every hour- day- week): activate or deactivate the Rss feed to be every hour, day, or week. 

-Number of RSS feed results per page: set the number of contents per page by following the below path: The control panel> plugins> Rss feed> show regular feed.

-Number of RSS links executed every periodical RSS feed: set the number of RSS links that are executed per time. For example, if you are using 8 links, and you enter 5 in this box, so the last 5 links are executed and the other three ons are ignored.  

-Show news source and link at the bottom of content: activate this option, so the news source and link are displayed beneath the content. 

-Number of days for statistics: statistics are shown on the page (showing periodical RSS feed), this option is to set for how many days the statistics are displayed. 

Press (Edit Settings) to save. 

 

Secondly: Add live feed: 

Note: there are two types of feeds (live & periodical) : 

Live feed is feted once, but periodical feed is fetched regularly as per settings. 

To add a live feed, follow the below: 

From the control panel> select plugins>RSS Feed> then live feed as the below picture: 

The below picture will show up: 

-User: this option allows you to add the member name that the content is published using his membership. 

-RSS URL: enter the RSS link that is used to fetch the content. 

-Number of results: set the number of results that are grabbed each time, noting that the maximum number is 20. 

-Module: set the module to which the content is added, noting that there are 3 modules (news, articles, and video). 

-Section: select the section to which the RSS contents are added. 

-Number of images: set the number of images dispying with the content, noting that the maximum number is 5. 

Note: this option is only valid with (news) module.

-News Source: enter the  name of the  source from which RSS Feed is fetched 

Note: this option is only valid with (News, Articles) modules. 

-Status: this box has various options that are shown only to the “Super admin” and “Admin”. For other users, only permitted options are shown. 

Press (Submit) to execute. 

 

To add regular feed, follow the below: 

From the control panel> select plugins>RSS Feed> then add regular feed as the below picture: 

The below template will show up: 

-User: this option allows you to add the member name that the content is published using his membership. 

-RSS URL: enter the RSS link that is used to fetch the content. 

-Number of results: set the number of results that are grabbed each time, noting that the maximum number is 20. 

-Module: set the module to which the content is added, noting that there are 3 modules (news, articles, and video). 

-Section: select the section to which the RSS contents are added. 

-Number of images: set the number of images dispying with the content, noting that the maximum number is 5.

Note: this option is only valid with (news) module. 

-News Source: enter the  name of the  source from which RSS Feed is fetched 

Note: this option is only valid with (News, Articles) modules. 

-Do RSS feed every: set the period time to grab the feed whether it is hourly, daily, or weekly. 

-Status: this box has various options that are shown only to the “Super admin” and “Admin”. For other users, only permitted options are shown. 

-Active: activate or deactivate the RSS feed. 

 

Thirdly: To list, edit, or delete RSS feed, follow the below: 

From the control panel> select plugins>RSS Feed> then add regular feed as the below picture: 

The below picture will show up: 

-View Icon: is used to view rss feed details.

-Edit Icon: is used to edit rss feed.

-Delete Icon: is used to delete rss feed.

You can select multiple feeds and press (Delete) to be removed.
