What are the requirements for activating the service on the servers that will be backed up?

 

  1. The partition to be backed up must be within (Partition Table) group not on the root directly, for example: the partition to be backed up must be /dev/sda1 not /dev/sda.
  2. Installing the client’s program on the server to be backed up.
  3. Activating the required ports through the firewall to connect the backup server to the client’s server properly.
  4. Available resources in the server for the service to work (bandwidth, RAM, processor).
