Comments

Brief: adding comments is one of the most significant means to share the website comments. It as well helps to increase the traffic rate, so it is worth to use the comments plugin and enjoy its developed features. 

 

Firstly: settings: 

1- Login to the control panel

2- from the side list, select (settings)> then (plugins settings) as the picture below: 

3- the settings list will show up, choose (comments settings) as the picture below: 

4- a list will show up, select (view all): 

The below options appear: 

-General Options: 

-Allow Comments: activate or deactivate this plugin. 

-Modules: choose the module in which the plugin is activated. 

-Comment Reply Notification: press (yes), so the commenter receives a notification if any visitor replies on his comment. 

-Enable Comment Forms: this feature is used to set the method of displaying the comments block, activate this feature and adding a comment template is automatically displayed without any need to add the icon (add comment).

-Activate Abuse Reports: activate or deactivate the feature of allowing visitors to report any improper comments or replies.

-Report Reason: is used to add the reason for the abusive comment. 

-Maximum Comments Per Page: set the maximum number of allowed comments per page.

-Minimum Comments To qualify for a "Hot" Icon: set the minimum number of added comments to consider as hot ones. 

-Comments Sorting Order: set the order method whether to add the latest or earlier comments first.

-Maximum Comment Period : set the period through which the visitors are allowed to comment on the content, and after that the comments are stopped. 

-Comments & Replies Auto Update: enter time in seconds to automatically update the comments and replies.

-Maximum Comment Characters- -Minimum Comment Characters: set the maximum or minimum number of characters used to add a comment. 

 

Points Options

-Posting a New Comment: the number of points that the user will get after adding a comment. 

-Posting a New Reply: the number of points that the user will get after adding a reply. 

-Approving a Comment: the number of points that the user will get after pressing (Agree) on any comment. 

-Disapproving a Comment: the number of points that the user will get after pressing (Disagree) on any comment. 

-Disapproval Manifolds: if the manifold of disagreed users exceeds the number of agreed ones, the comment will be disabled. 

 

Secondly: approving comments: 

1- Login to the control panel

2- From the side list> select “plugins”> “comments” then “pending comments” as shown below: 

The below picture is displayed: 

Choose the module that you want to view its comments, list them, and select the ones that you need to approve or delete. 

 

Thirdly: Approving replies: 

1- Login to the control panel

2- From the side list> select “plugins”> “comments” then “pending replies” as shown below: 

Follow the same process to approve replies. 

 

Fourthly: Approving pingbacks: 

1- Login to the control panel

2- From the side list> select “plugins”> “comments” then “pending pingbacks” as shown below: 

Follow the same process for approving.
