What are the service requirements to run on my server?

  1. The partition to be backed up should be in the Partition Table group and not directly in the root.

Example: The partition to be backed up can be dev/sda1 but cannot be dev/sda

  1. The client program must be installed on the server to be backed up

  2. The required ports should be opened in the firewall so the communication between the backup server and the customer server works correctly.

  3. The server should have the available resources for the service to run (bandwidth, RAM, CPU processing)
