Reset Password Protect Directories

Steps:

  1. Login to the control panel (cPanel)

  2. From Security block choose Password Protect Directories

  1. Go to the site home directory by pressing the directory icon besides public_html

  1. Press the directory name you want to password protect .

  2. You will see the old user in the Authorized users menu , Select it then press Delete User 
  3. Now you can Create a new user name only type a username and password for the directory, then press Add/modify authorized user
