Adding fields



To add a new fields:

1. Sign in to the Administration Control Panel.
2. From the side menu, choose 'Mailing center' then 'Correspondence forms' followed by 'View' then (Add field) as shown in this picture:

    

This option settings will appear and they are:
The field addition form is different according to the field type you choose but there are fixed fields like:

• Name: related to the field and must be in English letters.
 Title: what will appear in front of the field.  
• Details: an explanation for the field, if needed.
• Field groups: the field groups you want to add to your form.
• Additional data: using this option, you can add any effect you want on the field like adding a style or giving it a certain class.
• Unique: this means that you don't want it to be repeated or to be previously used like the ID numbers.
 Required field: this makes it mandatory for the visitor and/or user to fill this field in order to contact you.
 Display order: this is where you can arrange fields display.

 Now, we'll move to the special characteristics for adding each field separately:

Creating a Text field

• Validation: through this option, you can verify the added content by making sure whether you want it to be letters or numbers or include //:http in case there was a link … etc.
Maximum length: if this number is exceeded, a warning message will appear to the user.

Creating a Textarea field

• Use Editor: through this option, you can include your Editor to format the text.
Default: this is where you can add the default text that will appear in the text area.
• Maximum length: if this number is exceeded, a warning message will appear to the user.

Creating a checkbox field



• Name: the field name; should be in English characters only.
• 
Title: what appears in front of the field.
Options
    • 
Title: what appears in front of the choice.
    • 
Value: the value the program deals with, you can add a numerical value like '1' and increase it according to the number of choices.
    • 
Marked: if you want to mark one of the choices, you can check this box.

Creating a Radio field



• Name: the field name; should be in English characters only.
• 
Title: what appears in front of the field.
Options
    • Title: what appears in front of the choice.
    • Value: the value the program deals with, you can add a numerical value like '1' and increase it according to the number of choices.
    • Marked: if you want to mark one of the choices, you can check this box.
 
                  

Creating a Select field



• Name: the field name and that should be in English characters only.
• Title: what appears in front of the field.
• Multiple: this option allows selecting multiple choices from the menu.
Options

    • Title: what appears in front of the choice.
    • Value: the value the program deals with, you can add a numerical value like '1' and increase it according to the number of choices.
    • Marked: if you want to mark one of the choices, you can check this box.

Creating a File field


• This only requires changing the type to 'file'.


Creating a Date field



Years back: this is where you can choose the number of previous years you want to view in the field.

• Years forward: this is where you can choose the number of following years you want to view in the field.

Creating a Datetime field



• Years back: this is where you can choose the number of previous years you want to view in the field.
• Years forward: this is where you can choose the number of following years you want to view in the field.

Creating a Time field

• This only requires changing the type to 'time'.

Creating a Multifields field


This field is one of the most important fields you can use, as it allows you to include more than one field at the same time as shown. Supported fields are (Text, Select, checkbox and Radio).

To choose one of the fields, check its icon in the options area and options will appear to you; as explained previously.

Show 'more' button up to: this option allows you to control the number of times this field will appear if you want to add it more than once.
